Often program management is mistaken for project management which is a similar service employed at a relatively advanced stage of a project. Program management plays a more monetary role in the project cycle and has a longer lifespan spent within the client domain - i.e. the 'pre-tender stage' as opposed to external parties in a typical project management scope.

 

Program management bridges the gap between project inception and project awards for consultancy – there are numerous activities that happen at developer’s end to structure the project vision and awarding the works to suitable consultants; often developers do not carry this expertise in-house. 

 

During the pre-tender planning stages, we articulate the development vision, strategy, layout and project components with adequate technical and design specifications to derive a shared understanding of the scope. In doing so, we maximize venturing returns by enabling judicious decisions on project assets, phasing, and capacitation. We tailor the scope, specifications, and timelines to ensure that fit-for-purpose surveyors, consultants, and contractors are coordinated into the development agenda.

 

Our on-going program management projects include large tourism concession for mixed land-use assets.  These entail preparing initial development vision based on targeted needs of the community in the locality, seeking planning permissions, developing high-level land-use plans, preparing several tender packages, bid reviews, and awards, commissioning works, reviewing deliverables, coordinating inputs and enabling projects that are part of the overall venture.
